ENTITLED LITTLE PEOPLE
Inspired by the humor inherent in traditional Portuguese figurative ceramics, my practice uses satirical devices to examine human behaviors dominating today’s society. Entitled Little People, examines a growing obsession with influencer culture, where unrealistic, money orientated lifestyles, misogynistic and egocentric attitudes are idealized and seem to dominate the general culture generating a crisis in values. These little red monsters are bigheaded and bad-mouthed. These creatures are hollow,
shallow and selfish.
